THE 730 BLUEPRINT

A His/Her "Project 365"

Yeah I know I have 2 missing... when my camera charges, they shall appear, like voila and stuff, like they were always there! C

A pic of me lovering it it up with my NEW STEPHEN KING SNOW GLOBE oh yeah! thats right! The man that owns the book shop next door to the record store where i work gave this to me today, he's tops in my book! Mad props! Sorry mr. skelly t-shirt i blogged about yesterday, but this has made my week!

M

Gotta love ebay, this is my lastest find, its nothing spectacular but it make my week. I don't know why but i love skeletons, skulls in particular. This fella was too cute i have to have this shirt hehe Its a medium so its kinda on the big size but i still rock it!
Oh and injury update, saw the specialist this morning and fortunately they say there is no serious tendon damage, just a lot of bruising, so all is well i suppose ;-)

M

just got home from the emergency dep. after hurting my hand at work, have to be back at the hospital in five hrs to see a specialist.. so now i am going to sleep!

Today was ordinary at best, and thats pretty much how i have been feeling of late. Didnt get to start moving my furniture into the garage/flat so i went shopping for a new lounge with my mum. That was alright and we need a new lounge so its kinda exciting.. it doesnt arrive 'til january.. oh anticipation.
My photo for today is of a snow globe from holland that my best freind in the world bought for me when she went overseas earlier in the year, she's going back to London in a month, deserting me for the summer.. I'm stoked for her, but pretty bummed about her going away for so long. But, back to the point, this is one of my favourite things i own. I have been collecting snow globes since i was a little kid and this is the first one that someone has brought me from overseas, and its a gift from one of my favourite people in the world, aww.

Today while on my lunch break at work i ducked into the bookstore next door, looking for something but wasn't quite sure what. I came out 10mins later with a Frank Sinatra bio, an Edgar Allan Poe collection and the lil gem pictured above: "dear old love" its a collection of messages from people to their old crushes and ex lovers and its just fantastic, some are sweet, some are sad, some are mean and some are just plain hi-larious.. I highly recommend it to all my friends, and anyone else for that matter. Now, off to job number two!

M

I spent most of today working, but i also managed to get in a bit of painting, which is what i spent all of las night doing. The pad is almost ready to be inhabited!! Pretty exciting.. And so this is what my "grape fizz" paint looks like outta the can ans on my wall ;-)

M

Think the title says it all really... Ooh, that's AM by the way for those that didn't guess...

Today has been rather ordinary, been feeling quite unwell really so just been chillin' at home, watching my shows. My Faith No More ticket arrived in the mail today, pretty damn exciting! Faith No More in february and the pixies (aahhh!!) in march! Bring on 2010 i say!!!

"...but if things don't work out like we think, and there's nothing there to ease this ache, and if there's nothing there to make things change, if its the same for you i'll just hang"
Hang - Matchbox Twenty.

I get asked, and teased (in good fun) alot about this tattoo. Nobody understands, and i don't usually bother to explain. But tonight i will. This song is my solace. Don't ask me why, i couldn't tell you if i wanted to. I don't need to know. I just know that since i was 10yrs old, no matter how many albums my collection accumulates (and there's hundreds), no matter how many other songs i fall in love with, it always comes back to these words. This is where i turn when i need to feel less alone, and it never fails me. Hang, you are my oldest and dearest friend.

Today I was reminded of something. There is always something unique, something that will always stand out, something that will always be... inspirational. Today has been all about planning what's to come for the remainder of this year and the next. Some pretty big things are happening over the next few weeks. One of those being growing a mo for Movember! God knows how it will turn out.

Today's image is of the only flower that is yet to blossom from my courtyard. It stands out. It gives hope. I love it.

Don't you hate it when your one day off for the whole week just kinda sucks!? That's pretty much the story of my day. Was already in a dodgy as mood due to work issues, that i am still deciding on a course of action over, i may not be doing the two jobs thing for much longer if this keeps up. Its not worth the drama. Then i got to go to the docs and get jabbed, multiple times..way un-cool. All topped off with the realisation that i have a workbook due for uni by 5pm that i hadn't even looked at. Life is such a party.
The only highlights were lunch at the always tasty Sushi Bay with one of my besties and the cd sale i stumbled upon at jb, almost the whole wilco back catalogue for ten buck each, WOO! i splurged on a few other titles that i deemed necessary additions to my ipod.. A little retail therapy never goes a stray.

Ahh, Sunday :-)
Its a nice sunny sunday today, i had a bit of a sleep in, and then got up and got to work in the garage/my new room..(if i ever get finished lol). Today i put the finishing touches on the furniture i have been fixing up, it all looks awesome! This photo is one that i took of the old doors off the wardrobe that used to be in my room when i was a kid, then in my little brothers room, and now its back to mine, but unfortunately the doors won't be making it, i took slightly better doors off another old wardrobe that we had in the garage, they were just plain easier to clean up and repaint hehe.
Let the dogs in the pool again for a little while too, even got izzy to swim a little! And, now i'm off to get ready to work my sunday afternoon/night away...

M

Let's try this again as my e-mail from bed didn't seem to work...

Today has been quite a useless day to be honest; have spent most of it quite unwell. So today's picture is about the cross that hangs on my door... For two reasons; the first being that it resembles part of my Halloween costume from last year... the second is that I saw sister act tonight. I will follow him, wherever he may goooo...

Happy Halloween all. *cough*

C

Today i worked all day at my "day job" which is in an indie record store, LOVE it! hehe
The absolute highlight of my day was picking up the Motley Crue book that i had on layby, woo..and thats what my pic is of today, its a picture of some pictures of Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars.. cos they kick major arse. And i have painting to do so i am going to love ya and leave ya ;-) Rock on!

M.

Okay, so this may be technically an hour and 45 minutes late, but it's technically still my Friday night so it still counts!

This is my special bandanna that I bought today on my way to work as a part of National Bandanna Day. It copped many remarks. Some good, some not so good. Let's see what tomorrow has in store shall we?

Day 2, and a slightly less rushed entry from me as i actually remembered to allow myself time to get this done. I'm sure i'll adjust to posting here everyday after a while. A year is a long time tho, so this is going to be a challenge, thats one of the things i love about the idea! I'm not the best at committing to things! but i am determined to stick this out. I'm sure looking back over all the photos and entries will be a blast, i also think its going to be alot of fun to see the different paths C and i's lives take us on over the next 12months and the differences in out posts on a day to day basis!

Anyway, getting down to biz-nizz.. Today was the first day of the warmer months where it was a hot enough day to swim AND my pool was actually swimmable! So when i got home from the gym this morning i went for a dip with the dogs; my family has an 8yr old german shepherd x named bandit (who should be named houdini for his yard escaping skills), and i have a gorgeous 1yr old english staffy named izzy who i bought last december when i was living out of home. She is THE greatest dog ever! She seemed to think that i was in danger of drowning in the pool today and tried to pull me out by my swimming costume, twice!
And now, i am listening to the doors and killing time before i go to work, which by night is as a starbucks barista. So rock n' roll..

Oh, you may also notice that i like to title my blogs with lyrics from/titles of songs that dont necessarily always have anything to do with the blog itself (but sometimes they do) so yeah, enjoy that! (you may even catch the odd movie quote up there hehehe)

M

Well here we go, Day one! a VERY interesting picture, of my breakfast..some lovely gluten free cereal with soy milk! Yummo! I eat the same thing for breakfast almost everyday, as my options are limited and this actually is quite tasty.
You'll have to excuse the shortness of this post but i am in a HUUGE hurry to get to work, wanted to do a lil more of an intro to me thingo today but time ain't on my side. So. Don't forget, breakfast IS the most important meal of the day!! ;-)

M

Day 1 of what will prove to be one of the longest commitments that I have ever made in my 22 years of life so far. My first image is of one of my favourite books; Wisdom by Andrew Zuckerman. It says a lot about me as a person, and what I think THE 730 BLUEPRINT will do for me over the next twelve months.

Whenever I seek inspiration on mornings such as this one, I tend to turn to two groups of people; one who's actions speak louder than words, and the other who captivates audiences in the form of words. This particular book does both. Whenever I start off on a project I tend to look at this book, and it reminds me that individuals truly can make a difference and that the benefits that you reap from wisdom is invaluable. The only person who can stop you from achieving what you want from life... is yourself.

There is no doubt about it, my life over the next 12 months is going to change. Dramatically. I can't wait to look back on this in a year and see exactly what has happened in picture form. And I hope you enjoy looking at this journey just as much as I do.

C

So... after being educated about the wonders of project 365, we have decided to do our own. But better. I'm not sure if we can claim that right this second... but give us some time; we may just construct something of interest yet!

Who are we? We are two 22 year olds. C, a man who's just crossing something else off of his to do list after random inspiration to do a joint blog, and M, a woman of great prestige and knowledge of project 365 who popped the idea with a 'hey I have an awesome idea' SMS and wouldn't accept no for an answer... or a delayed response either for that matter.

Over the next 365 days we can pretty much guarantee that our lives are going to change, but in completely different ways, and for completely different reasons, as we are two completely different people. And there's the fun! (She says pointing her finger at the laptop with such enthusiasm)

So tomorrow, Thursday 29 October 2009, we begin...

C&M

2 Friends. 2 Lives. One project.

Him: "C", A 22yr old billing analyst/e-mag producer who's ambition in life is to change the world one step at a time... but only when there isn't a scary thunderstorm outside.

Her: "M", A 22yr old behavioural studies student/record store clerk/barista. Currently residing in her very own swingin' bachelorette pad, formerly known as her parents garage. A self-proclaimed lone wolf, with a love for many things "pop culture" and all things ryan adams.

An unlikely friendship forged in the 9th grade, over a shared dissent for (and ill-acceptance within) the social institution that is the high school experience.
A friendship and affinity for each other that holds strong to this day, and let's face it, is probably the only thing we have in common.
This is our version of project 365; one photo a day (each) for a year...
